booking a party

What Entertainment to choose for a party?

So you are planning a party for someone, you have chosen your guests, picked your venue, organised caters but what do you do for entertainment?

There are a lot of entertainment companies to choose from you could hire a bouncy castle company, hire a clown or you could book a mobile disco.

Mobile discos are guaranteed to entertain all age groups at a party everyone will be up dancing and having a whale of a time. Most DJs will liaise with you before the big event to talk about what you want. Many will ask questions along the lines of what music do you want to be played, what will the age range at the party be?

With a wide range of music a mobile DJ will cater for all ages, the DJ will interact with the crowd accept song requests from the crowd. The disco company may also be able to provide karaoke this is not to everybody’s taste but if you are in to your singing karaoke is a good entertainment pleaser. The best part about karaoke is that all the words to the song will come up on a screen so you can sing along to your favourite songs.

When you are booking a DJ there are a few tips that you should consider before hiring them. As with all trades there are cowboy operators the mobile disco business is the same. All mobile DJs need to have insurance this is called public liability insurance, this is to cover the DJ and the venue if something goes wrong for instance a speaker falls on to a guests head or your dancing the night away and trip over a cable, and you decide to make a claim the DJ is insured, also many venues are making sure the disco company holds this insurance and they will want to see proof, if the DJ cannot show them proof of insurance the venue will turn them away meaning you are left with no entertainment.

For peace of mind most legit DJs will offer you  written booking confirmation letter this will be your guarantee that the DJ will turn up, if he or she does not turn up basically you can take them to court.
Don’t book the first disco company you find, ask your friends if they recommend a disco company or search the internet visit the DJs website, upon booking the DJ ask if you can have some details of past customers who you can then contact.

Mobile discos are great for all types of parties, whether it is a birthday celebration, engagement party, wedding or charity function. They are hassle free and the DJ will do all the work whilst you sit back or boogie the night away.
